New Features
Background posting
Go do something else while your post… posts.
- Upload text, photos, and video in the background on iOS and Android
- Real-time progress indicator while you’re in the app
- Push notification when video processing finishes
- Automatic cleanup of stuck or orphaned posts
Passwordless Login (OTP)
No more passwords to remember or reset… and it’s a bit safer too.
- Log in using a one-time passcode via email (Phone alternative on its way soon)
- Code appears in the email subject line for quick access
- No password required for account deletion
- Passkeys and authenticator support to come

Optional Profile location
You can now add a location to your profile.
This is a first crack at it. We’ll keep refining this over time to support more meaningful ways of describing where you are (for example, Treaty Land).
For now:
- City/town autocomplete for quick entry
- Location is optional
- No full street addresses (we don’t want to know where you live)
- Designed to stay at a city / region level
This helps us move toward more relevant local content… if you want it.
Self-serve account controls
You can now manage your account directly in Settings.
- Change your email
- Export your PDS
- Deactivate your account
- Delete your account
If you’re ready to export your data (it’s yours) take a break or say goodbye, we get it. Or, you can just change your email.
Improvements
Native posting pipeline
Posting is now handled fully through native iOS and Android systems.
Behind the scenes, this makes posting more reliable for fewer failed posts (especially photos and videos)
camera + photo picker
A handful of improvements to make media posting more intuitive.
- Photo collections now keep the order you selected
- Access your collections again!
- Better reliability when opening the camera
- Fewer issues attaching images to posts
sticky headers
Small change, but helpful. Headers now stick while you scroll, making it easier to navigate around the app without losing context.

We’ve improved how you reach us when something is not working.
- Clearer in-app support flow

- Better tracking on our side so things don’t get lost

Not something you’ll interact with directly but super important to keeping this space healthy. An updated set of community guidelines are on their way too.
Profile Editor Refresh
Managing your profile is now more straightforward.
- Edit avatar, display name, bio, and location in one place
- Location autocomplete built in
- Updates reflect quickly across the app
Fixes
A lot of small (and not-so-small) issues cleaned up this round.
- Fixed media permission issues on Android 13+
- Fixed followers/following lists being cut off by the Android navigation bar
- Fixed a bug that logged some people out unexpectedly
- Fixed multiple cases where the keyboard covered input fields
- Fixed issue where photos were inaccessible despite permissions
- Fixed likes disappearing or not persisting
- Fixed delays in likes appearing in Activity
- Fixed notification badge delays on the app icon
- Fixed photo upload failures (401 error) on Android
- Fixed issues with limited photo access uploads
- Fixed bio not saving when empty
- Fixed signup bug where fields were not visible on step one
