Thanks to everyone on Gander taking the time to submit bug reports when something goes awry.
Below, you’ll find the list of bugs that we’re aware of and are able to reproduce.
Please have a… well … lowercase gander before submitting a bug report
1. Home
Switching between “For You” and Feeds
Switching tabs can feel sticky or laggy.
Gander + Bluesky feed shows up by default
The app may show Gander + Bluesky content in your feed even if you picked Gander Only. If you switch feeds and switch back, it resets to Gander Only.
Feed refresh
The feed can jump or refresh suddenly.
Default tab not saved
The app doesn’t remember your preferred feed when you reopen it.
2. App
Bottom navigation disappears
The bottom menu can vanish while you’re using the app. Closing and reopening brings it back.
Logged out more often than expected
You may get logged out randomly. Your account is still safe.
Login code delay
The login code can take a while to arrive… but it does show up.
Battery use
The app may use more battery than expected.
3. Moderation
Unblock doesn’t fully unblock
If you unblock someone, you may still not be able to interact with them.
4. Posting media
Limited photo access
You might not see all your photos when trying to share them.
Albums not showing (Android)
Photo albums may not appear when you’re trying to share something.
6. Profile
City field can’t be left empty
You have to enter a city right now, even if you’d rather not.
Flicks don’t open from profiles
Tapping Flicks on someone’s profile doesn’t do anything.
7. Chat
Chat date doesn’t update
Message dates don’t always update as the conversation continues.
