We’re in beta, which means there are still a few rough edges.
Below is a list of bugs we’re currently aware of and working on. Please take a quick scroll through this list before submitting a report.
1. Posts
1.1 Can’t edit posts
We all make typos from time to tiem. We’re working on editable posts.
1.2 Post delayed on Feed/Profile-Feed
Notice a delay between when you post and when it makes it to your profile/feed? Rest assured your post is safe with us and we’re speeding things up.
1.3 Video player sticks
No, it’s not your internet. It’s us. And we’re fixing the pause/resume functions.
2. Likes
2.1 Delay in likes
We don’t like the delay much either. We do however, like likes.
2.2 Like counter mismatch
Time for our like counter to get better at… counting. The likes do stick, even if they don’t always show.
3. Notifications
3.1 Notification Badge does not clear
We’re busy making sure that the app badge clears properly when you’re up to date.
3.2 Post delayed on Feed/Profile-Feed
We’re getting rid of those pesky duplicates. Nobody wants to deal with notification fatigue.
4. Attaching Media
4.1 Limited access to photos
We’re updating the app permissions so you can get to all your photos.
4.2 Albums not accessible
They will be though, we’re overhauling the camera UI.
4.3 Can’t post GIFs
An essential part of communicating online. They’re coming. Get your collection of Goose GIFs ready in anticipation.
4.4 Can’t add videos as post
Clearer UI and options to attach videos to your posts are inbound.
5. Comments
5.1 Can’t see replies of replies on comment sheet
We’re making navigating replies more intuitive. We’re improving how threaded replies are displayed so you can see (and join) the full conversation.
5.2 Can’t reply with GIFs
GIFs aren’t supported… yet.
5.3 Name/Timestamp getting cut off
Cutting people off isn’t very civil. We’re fixing the spacing so they display properly.
6. Profile Page
6.1 Can’t save empty text in bio
Space to figure things out is always welcome, so we’re adding some.
6.2 Profile photo glitches
We’re upgrading our infrastructure to make sure profile pics load reliably.
6.3 Handle is stubborn
We’re handling handles, you should be able to change them to suit who you are.
6.4 Wrong email
Emails change. We’re making it easier to update them.
7. iOS
7.1 Keyboard covers part of the screen
Keyboards should be about sharing, not hiding things. We’re fixing the layout.
7.2 Text appears too large
We’re adding options for text sizing so you can decide what works best for you.
8. Android
8.1 The android navigation bar blocks the feed
It shouldn’t. So we’re fixing it.
8.2 Back Gesture on the comment window closes the app
We’re adjusting it so the back swipe simply closes the comments, not the entire app.
