This Privacy Policy explains how Gander Social Inc. (“we,” “our,” “us”) handles information when you use our test application (the “App”). This App is currently used for internal testing and early access purposes.
1. Information We Collect
We collect and process the following types of information as part of testing and app functionality:
a. Device Permissions and Data
- Camera: Used to capture photos or video within the App.
- Location: May be used to provide location-based functionality (not yet active).
- Storage: Used to temporarily store media captured through the App.
- Notifications: Used to send updates or alerts related to app testing.
- Internet access: Used to communicate with our servers for authentication, media upload, and other functions.
b. User-Provided Data
When testing or using the App, you may provide:
- Text, images, video, or feedback through forms or uploads.
- Your email address (for authentication, support, or internal communication).
c. Automatically Collected Data
- Usage and diagnostic data (e.g., crash reports, performance logs) via Sentry and server logs.
- Device information such as OS type, device model, and IP address.
2. How We Use the Information
We use the collected data to:
- Enable testing and evaluate app performance.
- Authenticate users and secure access.
- Improve features and resolve issues.
- Analyze app stability, crashes, and performance.
- Communicate with testers regarding updates, feedback, or issues.
3. Data Storage and Retention
- Media (photos, videos): Stored on our sovereign cloud servers until deleted by the user or by us when the test concludes.
- Logs and analytics: Stored by Sentry and server providers for debugging and performance review. Retention periods follow each provider’s policy.
- Email and authentication data: Retained while the user participates in the test.
We do not retain personal data longer than necessary for testing and evaluation.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell or share personal information.
Data may be shared internally with our development and QA teams solely for testing and improvement.
Third-party processors used for analytics and hosting (e.g., Sentry, cloud infrastructure providers) handle data according to their respective privacy policies.
5. Security
We implement reasonable security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and restricted developer access. However, as this is a test environment, data may not have the same protection level as a production system.
6. User Controls
- You may request deletion of your test data or media at any time by contacting us.
- You can revoke permissions (camera, storage, location, etc.) through your device settings.
7. Children’s Privacy
This App is intended for internal testers and is not directed toward children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy periodically. Any updates will be posted with a new “Last updated” date.
